Do you want to help promote and improve the environment and your community?
Through our Local Outcome Improvement Plan we are committed to reducing carbon emissions in the city, increasing sustainable travel (walking, cycling, and reducing car use) and looking after the place we live with well-cared-for open spaces and buildings.
To help us achieve our aims, we need people across our communities to help us identify, design, and test a range of improvements.
We have a range of projects that we’d like you to get involved in. These include:
- Reducing carbon emissions and waste.
- Increasing walking and cycling.
- Reducing car use.
- Building community resilience through the development of community-led resilience plans, supporting and empowering communities to care for their neighbourhoods.
- Increasing satisfaction with good quality green space.
- Increasing social prescribing of nature.
- Increasing the awareness and understanding of the importance of nature.
By getting involved, you can help us identify, design, and test improvements to support the environment and the community that you live in.
How you want to get involved is up to you. The first step is to let us know which area or project you’re interested in by completing our form.
A member of the Community Planning Team or the relevant improvement project manager responsible for the project you are interested in getting involved in will get in touch to have an initial discussion on how you would like to participate. Together, we can create a better future for our city.
Please see the privacy notice on how we will process your information.
