Do you want to support improvement and decisions to help improve the lives of people in your community?
We want to make sure that everyone has a chance to have their say and can participate in decisions that help change things for the better. To do that, our Local Outcome Improvement Plan projects look to address the barriers that prevent people from getting involved, particularly those less likely to get involved.
To help us achieve our aims, we need people across our communities to help us identify, design, and test a range of improvements.
We have a range of projects that we’d like you to get involved in. These include:
- Working with communities to design and test their ideas.
- Increasing the number and diversity of community members participating in community planning.
- Ensuring decisions which impact children and young people are informed by them.
- Supporting community-led organizations to access increased funding.
- Celebration and promotion of community-led projects.
- Enhancing staff and community skills to work together.
By getting involved, you can help us identify, design, and test improvements to increase people’s participation. How you want to get involved is up to you. The first step is to let us know which area or project you’re interested in by completing our form.
A member of the Community Planning Team or the relevant improvement project manager responsible for the project you are interested in getting involved in will get in touch to have an initial discussion on how you would like to participate. Together, we can create a better future for our city.
