Your Place, Your Plans, Your Future: Engagement Results
You spoke, we are listening.
Between 24 March and 18 May 2025, we asked you to share your view and help inform multiple plans and strategies at once by telling us what things are good now and what improvements you think would make our city and our neighbourhoods better in the future.
2087 people participated, providing 13,433 comments across the 14 themes. You can see the results of our engagement in the reports below and here:
A huge thank you to everyone who took part.
Next Steps:
Development of the Local Outcome Improvement Plans 2026-36, Locality Plans 2026-36 and Children’s Services Plan: Community Planning Aberdeen’s Outcome Improvement Groups and Locality Empowerment Group and Priority Neighbourhood Partnerships are using the outcome of the engagement to inform and develop the Plans.
Further engagement with communities to co-create solutions and develop the plans will be help over the coming months. We’d love for all to participate in these next stages and will keep you informed of dates and times. We’ll also consult on the draft Plans in early 2026.
Finalising Multiple Plans and Strategies: Aberdeen City Council and the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership are using the results to finalise the following plans and strategies:
- Health and Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan (to be considered by the Integrated Joint Board on 1 July 2025 – see the “You said, we did”)
- Local Housing Strategy (to be considered by the Communities, Housing and Public Protection Committee on 26 August 2025)
- Community Learning and Development Plan
- Visitor Levy Proposal (to be considered by the Finance and Resources Committee on 6 August 2025)
- Evidence Report to inform production of the next Local Development Plan will reported to Council for approval in Summer 2025, and submitted to Scottish Ministers for their review thereafter. The Play Sufficiency Assessment will be reported to Council at the same time.
Over the next few months, we’ll share how the results have shaped the other plans at communityplanning@aberdeencity.gov.uk
