Capacity Building

Community Planning Aberdeen offers a capacity building programme to strengthen improvement knowledge and skills across staff and partners.

This support is essential to delivering the Local Outcome Improvement Plan (2026–2036) and Locality Plans, helping teams to plan, test and implement effective changes.

Model for Improvement

The Model for Improvement is a framework designed to develop, test and implement changes that lead to improvement. The Model is used and endorsed by the Scottish Government and is credited with bringing about improvements in the NHS.

It is being rolled out across Aberdeen City Council and Community Planning Aberdeen partners to build a shared, city-wide approach to improvement and achieve better outcomes for the people of Aberdeen.

System Change Leadership

Community Planning Aberdeen also offers a System Change Leadership course for system change leads and their teams.

This programme supports teams to build the skills and confidence needed to move system change from ambition into delivery.

Masterclasses

Community Planning Aberdeen offers a series of practical Masterclasses to support the delivery of the Local Outcome Improvement Plan (2026–2036) and Locality Plans.

These sessions are designed to build knowledge, skills and confidence in key areas of improvement to deliver effective system change.
