Locality Empowerment Groups
We have established three Locality Empowerment Groups to help us build connections with the communities we will be working with to plan and deliver improved outcomes for the locality.
Locality Empowerment Groups (LEGs) are local people interested in improving the quality of life for people living in Aberdeen. Members use their own knowledge and experiences to influence priorities and help determine solutions which are captured in a Locality Plan. There is a plan in place for the Central, North and South areas of Aberdeen. The Locality Empowerment Groups in each area help shape the plans and take action.
The Locality Empowerment Groups are open to any community member or representative of a community group/ network living in the area that has an interest in working collectively to improve outcomes for the Locality.
There are also Priority Neighbourhoods which focus on areas of the City which experience the greatest disadvantage, when you get in touch we can let you know which group would be best for you.
Find all the information you need on our Locality Empowerment Group leaflet.
Become a Community Rep
Are you thinking about becoming a Community Representative?
There is a rolling invite for all community members to come along, see what’s on the agenda, have the opportunity to ask questions and assess whether you would still like to become a rep – with no obligation to join.
