Portfolio Boards Roles and Responsibilities
Each Portfolio Board is responsible for overseeing the delivery and impact of its system changes within the Local Outcome Improvement Plan 2026–36. This includes setting clear expectations for the difference these changes will make for people and communities, and ensuring partners contribute to agreed outcomes.
Portfolio Boards prioritise and phase work, focus on improving outcomes and reducing inequalities, and take action where impact varies across neighbourhoods. They also strengthen long-term prevention, monitor progress through the Unified Risk Register, and ensure their work aligns with statutory partnerships.

There are three outcome-focused Portfolio Boards, each leading change in a key area.
