Statutory Partnerships Roles and Responsibilities
Statutory Partnerships are formal groups of organisations with a legal duty to work together in key areas such as children’s services, community justice and adult protection. They bring together the required partners to deliver statutory plans, meet national and local responsibilities, and provide assurance that progress is being made and risks are appropriately managed.
They are fully aligned to Aberdeen’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP) and contribute to delivering shared city priorities by aligning statutory plans with LOIP outcomes, supporting system change, and reporting progress and risks through governance arrangements. They work alongside the Outcome Themed Portfolio Boards, helping to ensure a joined-up approach to system change and statutory responsibilities that improves outcomes for communities across Aberdeen.
