Economic Stability
The vision within our Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP) is for Aberdeen to be “a city where everyone can thrive, regardless of background or circumstance”. At the heart of this is a commitment to tackling poverty and inequality, and supporting the city’s people to live healthy lives.
The Economy section of the LOIP details the actions we will take working in partnership with our communities to develop and provide targeted, locally-based solutions to mitigate the causes of immediate and acute poverty and to improve our economy and increase employment opportunities in Aberdeen. There is one ten year outcome and one system change.
Ten Year Outcome 2
TYO 2
Reduce to 3% the proportion of people aged 16 and above in Scottish index of Multiple Deprivation 1 that are not in employment and increase by 3% the employment rate of vulnerable groups by 2036.
